Cimarron Founded
CorporateMarvin Triplett formed Cimarron Software Services, Inc. in January 1981. His driving force was to build a company specializing in real-time control system software design, development and deployment, that was known for the quality of personnel and services provided, and was dedicated to its customers and its employees. He achieved these principles. They remain the cornerstones of Cimarron today.

Cimarron Wins Army CTS Contract
Contract NewsCimarron, teamed with L3 National Security Solutions, was awarded an IDIQ contract for the Army's Communication and Transmission Systems (CTS) procurement. CTS is a 5 year, $4.1 Billion Dollar IDIQ Contract consisting of 12 Team Awards that will support the Army's Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS), and the Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC). Cimarron will be looked upon to support Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Configuration Management and Data Management and other "non-core" functions on the contract.
NASA Extends Mission Operations Support Contract
Contract NewsNASA has exercised a contract option with Lockheed Martin Corp. of Gaithersburg, Md., to provide continued mission control systems services, development, maintenance and operations support as part of the Facilities Development and Operations Contract. The extension has a total estimated value of $166.8 million and extends the period of performance through Sept. 30, 2014. The total contract value has been increased to $1 billion. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide support for the hardware, software, data and displays systems used to train for and execute all human spaceflight missions supported by the Mission Operations Directorate at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. The contract provides systems services support within the Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center and the Jake Garn Mission Simulator and Training Facility at Johnson, and at various backup control centers. The majority of the work will take place at or near Johnson. A significant subcontractor on this contract is Cimarron Software Services Inc. of Houston. U.S. Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Public Service
Employee AwardU.S. Major General Edward M. Reeder, Jr. presented Roy Williams (SITEC) the prestigious U.S. Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Public Service during a ceremony held in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in October. The Commander’s Award for Public Service is the fourth highest honor the U.S. Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian. Roy was honored for his “exceptionally meritorious service while assigned to the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the Army’s Special Operations Center of Excellence, as a SITEC Video Teleconference Technician.” Roy was also commended for his “selfless service and technical expertise...which ensured the complete success of numerous operational-level undertakings.”

Cimarron Co-Hosts Siemens Energy Executive Council
CorporateCimarron, as a Siemens Solution Partner, co-hosted the Energy Executive Council Work Group Meeting held at Space Center Houston and Cimarron's Command & Control Lab on January 16-17, 2014. The event brought together executives from industry-leading companies to discuss challenges facing industry and the visions for product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions. NASA FILMSS is another WIN for Cimarron
Contract NewsCimarron is happy to announce another win! Cimarron is a member on the Wyle Laboratories, Inc. (Wyle) team that was awarded NASA’s Fully Integrated Lifecycle Mission Support Services (FILMSS) contract. The Wyle team will support NASA's flight programs and mission projects, providing support for multiple sustained project management, research and technology development capabilities that encompass all phases of mission and project lifecycles at the agency's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. The contract award begins August 1, 2014, with a one-year base period including a 60-day phase-in, followed by four, one-year options. Cimarron CEO Jeannie Crowell said, “We are very blessed to have won this contract, along with other recent awards this month.”
NASA IMOC II is a WIN for Cimarron
Contract NewsCimarron is a member on the Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) team that was awarded NASA's Integrated Mission Operations Contract II (IMOC II). Under the nine-year IMOC II contract, the SGT team will provide support and products for spaceflight operations capability development and execution for the Mission Operations Directorate, the International Space Station Program – including the Avionics and Software Office, and the Flight Crew Operations Directorate at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. This includes support to mission preparation, crew, flight controller, instructor, and analyst training, as well as real-time mission execution activities related to exploration operations and space station operations. The contract award begins October 1, 2014. There are two, two-year options that could extend the contract through September 30, 2023. This contract includes a 61-day phase-in period beginning August 1, 2014. Cimarron CEO Jeannie Crowell said, “We are very blessed to have won this contract, as this is a significant win for Cimarron. This will allow Cimarron to grow and diversify while aligning us with future programs and opportunities.”
Space Flight Awareness Trailblazer Award
Employee AwardJeremyah Payne (FDOC) was honored with the Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Trailblazer Award during a ceremony held at the JSC Gilruth Center in January. The SFA Trailblazer award is presented to NASA and NASA contractor employees who are in the early stages of their career. Awardees must demonstrate strong work ethic and creative, innovative thinking in support of human spaceflight. Jeremyah was recognized for his innovation and contributions toward developing the data protection model for the Mission Control Center 21st Century (MCC21) Security Software Subsystem. Jeremyah’s initiative and technical abilities have been critical to meeting the challenges faced with providing the correct and proper amount of security for protection of data for the new MCC.

IMOC II Excellence Award
Employee AwardLonneishea Nichols and Tim Deibel were honored with an IMOC II Excellence Award. The ITAS and IMIS Teams were recognized with the IMOC II Excellence Award for their outstanding effort in transitioning all of the FOD and IMIS SharePoint content to SharePoint 2013. The team provided extensive SharePoint preparation, migration, and post-transition services in support of the recent transition from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. Because of the dedication and upfront planning, the overall SharePoint 2013 transition went significantly easier than expected.

IMOC II Excellence Award
Employee AwardLuke Miles received an IMOC II Excellence Award on September 8, 2016. The SPARTAN members on the TS-21 Team were recognized for the excellent job testing the ETCS and EPS, marching towards the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) milestone. In particular, Luke was instrumental in getting EPS and ETCS ready for training.
IMOC II Excellence Award
Employee AwardPhill Hicks received an IMOC II Excellence Award on August 16, 2016. Phill was honored for showing discipline and competence while performing the various roles of an ETHOS Specialist, especially when it comes to dealing with the Major Constituent Analyzer (MCA) as the Lead SME for the branch. Phill was also recognized by two of his Flight Controller peers for preventing an Oxygen Generation Assembly (OGA) fault during a scheduled Sabatier activation due to an off-nominal OGA production mode and Flow Control Valve position.

Cimarron Supports the 2017 SLS/Orion Suppliers Conference in Washington, DC
CorporateCimarron supported the 2017 SLS/Orion Suppliers Conference held in Washington, DC on February 15th and 16th. The event gave an opportunity for Cimarron to meet with NASA and their Prime Exploration Supplier leadership. Cimarron also joined other attendees of the conference to meet with members of Congress and discuss the future of NASA’s exploration and support programs. IMOC II Excellence Award
Employee AwardKayla LaFrance was recognized with an IMOC II Excellence Award for her efforts in facilitating 49S return manifest change discussions for the Service Cooling Umbilical (SCU) which was damaged during an EVA. Her efforts directly contributed to the efficient implementation of the eventual decision to return the SCU on SpaceX-11.
FDOC Excellence Award
Employee AwardKevin Fuller and Scott Turner were honored with an FDOC Excellence Award in appreciation for their initiative, research, and resolution for the problematic General Luminaire Assemblies within the Training Facility Space Station Modules. Scott and Kevin researched LED-based alternative lighting and developed a design that was transparent to the users with the same look and functionality as the original fluorescent-based lamps. The GLA Upgrade team achieved reliability and efficiency with little expenditure of material or labor resources.

IMOC II Excellence Team Award
Employee AwardAlexx Cisotto was an awarded an IMOC Excellence Team Award in May. During the week of February 4-10, 2018, the Expedition 54 crew set a new USOS utilization record of 109.3 hours of science performed in a single week. This was made possible through tremendous effort of the IEPC Planning team.

IMOC II Excellence Award
Employee AwardDavid Thoerig and Alexx Cisotto were awarded an IMOC Excellence Award. David and Alexx are part of a 3-person team that was recognized for their diligent support of the Score tool during the preparation, deploy, and sustainment phases of a new version. The team developed new methods to measure performance of the new version during testing and worked continuously to ensure that the final version provided performance improvements for the entire planning team. SENSE Contract Award
Contract NewsCimarron is pleased to announce a contract award! Cimarron is a member on the Peraton team that has been awarded NASA’s Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. SENSE has a five-year ordering period and is follow-on to the Space Communications Network Services (SCNS) contract in support of the Exploration and Space Communications Projects Division (ESC) at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). SENSE will support continuous operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the relay and direct-to-earth networks and their evolution toward a future architectural vision. Mobile Launcher 2 Contract Award
Contract NewsCimarron is excited to announce a new contract award! Cimarron is a member on the Bechtel team that was awarded NASA’s contract for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). ML2 is the ground structure that will be used to assemble, process, and launch NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Block 1B rocket and Orion spacecraft from Launch Pad 39B at KSC for missions under NASA’s Moon to Mars exploration approach. The ML2 44-month contract period which begins July 1, 2019, includes the complete design and construction of the second launch platform. Cimarron is proud to be part of the Bechtel team. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certified
CertificationCimarron is proud to announce it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISO/IEC 27001 standard ensures that an organization has established policies and a framework of business and IT procedures to help identify, manage, and reduce information security risks. Cimarron’s certification was issued by DNV GL - Business Assurance, an accredited third party certification body, upon its successful completion of an extensive 2 part audit process. Cimarron passed the audit on its first attempt with no major findings and one notable mention for our IT Strategic Plan as an excellent planning document. Cimarron’s ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification is valid for the next three years. This reflects an outstanding achievement and demonstrates Cimarron’s commitment to quality management, managing risks, and protecting data on behalf of the company, its employees, and its customers.
NASA Silver Achievement Medal
Employee AwardSam Schnuer was honored with the prestigious NASA Silver Achievement Medal on July 16, 2019. Sam was one of three CI2/CRONUS TS21 leads who was presented the award by NASA Division Chief Paul Felker. Sam and his colleagues were recognized for being instrumental towards facilitating the transition from the legacy SSTF simulator to TS21, allowing FOD to officially retire the SSTF and conduct all future ISS training on the TS21 simulator. The NASA Silver Achievement Medal is awarded to Government and non-Government individuals or teams by NASA Center Directors for a stellar achievement that supports one or more of NASA's Core Values, when it is deemed to be extraordinarily important and appropriate to recognize such achievement in a timely and personalized manner.
CCTS Innovation Award
Employee AwardCimarron employees John Pike, Kevin Courson, Ed Bourne, Dominic Cappello, and Zach Brandon were part of a Boeing/Cimarron team on the Boeing CST-100 Starliner program that was honored with a CCTS Innovation Award. The team proposed and implemented a modification of Spacecraft 2's back shell to facilitate intact removal of the parachute system. The idea was implemented on Spacecraft 2 and is being replicated on Spacecraft 1 and Spacecraft 3.

NSSL Phase 2 Procurement Award

Employee AwardCongratulations to Lupe Cummings who was presented a Cimarron Innovation Award in recognition of her tool innovation which modified a commercially purchased goniometer to reduce time spent verifying connector clocking. This new shop aide for connector clocking provides production and quality personnel with an accurate method to determine connector keyway orientation. This tool has been recommended to be used at other customer sites and harness suppliers.

Jim Chilton Joins Cimarron's Board of Directors

Dean Driskell Appointed as an Advisor to Cimarron's Board of Directors

Silver Snoopy Award
Employee AwardCongratulations to Cimarron employee Peter Morgan-Dimmick who was awarded the coveted NASA Space Flight Awareness Silver Snoopy Award! The Silver Snoopy award is a special honor awarded to NASA employees and contractors for outstanding achievements related to human flight safety and mission success and given personally by NASA astronauts. Peter has been instrumental in ensuring that the Artemis programmatic requirements dictate a consistent approach across the numerous Artemis programs (Orion, Gateway, HLS) for the crew’s onboard information technology (IT) needs. Peter was presented with the Silver Snoopy award by NASA JSC Center Director Vanessa Wyche (pictured left) and NASA Astronaut Nicole Mann (right).
