Mission Operations

Cimarron has delivered real-time systems solutions since 1981 and began supporting NASA’s Mission Control Center (MCC) in 1988. Today, we continue to support mission operations for NASA’s exploration and LEO missions, as well as emerging commercial programs. With more than three decades embedded in human spaceflight, Cimarron provides mission planning, astronaut and flight controller training, and real-time console operations that keep critical missions safe, efficient, and coordinated.

Exploring Real-Time Command & Control

Cimarron is advancing the next generation of real-time command and control for human spaceflight. Since 1988, our teams have supported NASA’s Mission Control Center with mission operations systems and business systems that enable safe, efficient, and predictable execution across NASA exploration and LEO missions. Collaborating closely with NASA and leading commercial partners, we help integrate modern commercial solutions to replace legacy custom code, continually improving safety, efficiency, and operational effectiveness for today’s missions and tomorrow’s human-rated vehicles.

Innovating Situational Awareness Systems

Cimarron innovates mission operations by merging real-time command and control with rich engineering and operational data. Drawing on decades of experience with advanced visualization, automation, and situational awareness tools, we develop dashboards, analytics, and integrated decision-support systems that give flight controllers a unified, actionable view of mission status. Our tools enhance fault isolation, improve operational safety, and enable faster, more informed real-time adjustments during critical mission phases.

Delivering Integrated Ground Segment Support

Cimarron has core experience delivering integrated ground-segment and mission operations support across NASA and commercial spaceflight programs. Our experience spans the design, build, sustainment, and operation of mission systems, developing solutions that manage program data and enable turnkey human spaceflight operations. Leveraging decades of mission operations heritage, Cimarron has played a key role in bridging commercial mission operations with NASA’s Mission Control Center, integrating telemetry, voice, video, and file transfer to ensure continuous, synchronized command and control for spacecraft in flight.
