Major releases of The District Planner are updated if any significant bugs are discovered in the product after delivery. These fixes are available to users at no charge. To determine what version of The District Planner you are running, open the product and check Help » About District Planner.

Update for The District Planner v3.1.1 (04/07/08)+
Users currently running v3.1 can upgrade to v3.1.1 for free by downloading and running a program (a "patch") to update the software; the software is updated without harming any of your existing data. For more information regarding the changes made to this update, please view the v3.1.1 Read Me file. Follow the instructions below to update The District Planner to the newest version:
- Click on this link to download the update to v3.1.1 (44KB). You should be prompted to save the file "dp-patchv311.exe"; save the file anywhere on your hard drive or network.
- If you are running The District Planner program, exit it before continuing. From "My Computer", find the file you just saved and double-click on it.
- Once the program opens, you will see a "Install" button; click on that button and your program will be updated to the newest version.
- After the program has run, click on the Windows "Start" menu button and select:
"Programs > Cimarron District Planner 3.1 > Compact and Repair Data" - After running this tool, it is safe to delete the patch program "dp-patchv311.exe".

Users currently running v3.0 or v3.0.1 can upgrade to v3.0.2 for free by downloading and running a program (a "patch") to update the software; the software is updated without harming any of your existing data. Follow the instructions below to update The District Planner to the newest version:
- Click on this link to download the update to v3.0.2 (20MB). You should be prompted to save the file "dpatchv302.exe"; save the file anywhere on your hard drive or network.
- If you are running The District Planner program, exit it before continuing. From "My Computer", find the file you just saved and double-click on it.
- Once the program opens, you will see a "Begin Patch" button; click on that button and your program will be updated to the newest version.
- After the program has run, click on the Windows "Start" menu button and select:

- If you are running The District Planner program, exit it before continuing. From "My Computer", find the file you just saved and double-click on it.
- Once the program opens, you will see a "Begin Patch" button; click on that button and your program will be updated to the newest version.
- After the program has run, click on the Windows "Start" menu button and select:

After running the patch, The District Planner is ready to be used!
