Microsoft SharePoint/CIMS

Microsoft SharePoint is a content management system that enables users to build scalable web sites. The Cimarron Products group designed and developed the Cimarron Integrated Management System (CIMS) website on top of SharePoint. CIMS provides document collaboration, information sharing, team productivity, and development tools for Cimarron employees, proposal teams, and customers.

Employee Self-Service

The Cimarron Products group will soon release an employee self-service application. This application will be integrated into our CIMS portal and will be available to all Cimarron and DKI employees. The major features include:

  • An employee will be able to obtain current relevant information saved in our corporate databases and securely view it.
  • Employees will easily be able to request changes to their information displayed by the employee self-service application.
  • The employee will automatically receive feedback via email once their request to modify any of their information is complete.
  • Managers will have the ability to monitor data and be notified via email when any relevant contract related information changes for any of their employees within the corporate databases. Managers will then be able to use pre-existing CimRS reports to view the information and verify that the requested changes were made as desired.

Administrative Services and
Human Resource Applications

The Cimarron Products group has developed several web-based applications that support Cimarron Administrative Services and Human Resources, as well as Cimarron and DKI employees company-wide. Employees use this secure suite of tools on a daily basis to provide them with various data maintenance, transfer, and reporting tools.

Cimarron Reporting System (CimRS)

CimRS is a powerful web-based application that can generate secure, fully customized Crystal Reports against data in any SQL Server database. Developed by the Cimarron Products group, CimRS is primarily used by Cimarron and DKI Management for reporting and analyzing employee time, leave data, and expenses, and is also used by clients for reporting on relevant project-related data such as time and expenses. Users can customize reports in the application by providing input parameters such as date ranges and expense codes. In addition, administrators can restrict user groups to predefined subsets of report parameters. This restricts users from accessing unauthorized data, while still providing them with a highly flexible, secure system to report on their own data.
