Vice President | Avionics Systems - Ronald A. Kirchoff

As Cimarron’s Vice President of Avionics Systems, Mr. Ronald Kirchoff is responsible for the management of all contracts dealing with on-board software development and testing. Mr. Kirchoff is the Program Manager for Cimarron’s support for the International Space Station (ISS) and Shuttle programs at the Johnson Space Center under subcontract to The Boeing Company. Additionally, he has program management responsibilities for Cimarron’s role on the Orion Program with Lockheed Martin. Ron has over 27 years of aerospace expertise in the military, commercial, and NASA sectors and is a certified Program Management Professional.

Ron joined Cimarron in 2000 as the Program Manager for Cimarron's engineering support contract with Boeing for the ISS and Shuttle programs. Prior to joining Cimarron, he spent five years with the Honeywell Space Engineering Center in Houston supervising engineers and Field Service personnel assisting the ISS program with the use of Honeywell flight and ground equipment. At Honeywell, Ron also managed the development and maintenance of avionics development simulators for various commercial airliners.

During his military career Ron had 2500 flying hours as a Senior Pilot in the Air Force and served a tour with the Defense Logistics Agency as an operations research analyst. Mr. Kirchoff has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters Degree in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
