The heart of Cimarron's core competencies is Software Engineering.
Every phase of Software Development from inception to end-of-life falls within Cimarron's expertise. Since the company began, Cimarron employees have always provided industry leading, software engineering solutions.
Cimarron has a long list a success stories through our software engineering abilities. The most notable efforts include our work revolving
around
the critical environment of Human Space Flight and the International Space Station (ISS). Cimarron, under contract with Boeing, provides numerous levels
of support to the ISS. Our engineers work on a daily basis providing critical in-flight embedded real-time software, flight hardware simulation, hardware & software
integration and software/avionics testing for the ISS. Additionally, we provide maintenance and operations of the Software Development Integration Lab (SDIL)
at NASA's Johnson Space Center's Sonny Carter Facility.
Cimarron engineers supplied necessary support and software engineering to the development of Critical 1 Caution & Warning Software for the Space Shuttle under the Cockpit Avionics Upgrade (CAU) contract. This contract also required the development of Onboard Crew and Health Status and Monitoring.
Even with our past and present successes in the software engineering field, Cimarron continues to strive for improvement in our development and engineering. To ensure our continued success, Cimarron took the steps necessary to complete a Level 3 Appraisal for Carnegie Mellon's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and was successfully appraised on December 12, 2007.
