Cimarron developed several internal business applications to support daily management and to provide various employee services, including:
- A web-based portal for content management and marketing, consisting of multiple applications that support Cimarron employees and clients; known as the Cimarron Integrated Management System (CIMS)
- A Single sign-on (SSO) authentication tool (CimLogon) that provides access to internal Cimarron applications and various COTS applications
- An integrated tool for custom report generation in a secure environment, known as the Cimarron Reporting System (CimRS). CimRS interfaces with virtually any SQL database to produce a variety of custom reports. Cimarron currently uses CimRS to access various internal databases and present information to our project managers
- An employee self-service application that allows employees to review relevant employee information, and request modifications to that data as appropriate
From 1997 to 2008, Cimarron developed and sold several software product suites designed for public educators, to assist schools and school districts in the creation and maintenance of their strategic plans.
- Two Texas-based products were available:
- The Campus Planner and District Planner. The Campus Planner was our first strategic planning product, initially released in 1997
- The District Planner, a district wide strategic planning tool, was initially released in 1998 (Both the Campus Planner and District Planner were sold throughout Texas through 2008)
- In 1999, Cimarron developed the Arkansas School Improvement Planner (ASIP) for the Arkansas Department of Education. All Arkansas public schools installed and used ASIP from 1999 through 2005
- Cimarron’s Strategic Performance System (SPS) was initially released in 2002 and was developed in conjunction with the Cambridge Group to implement their strategic planning methodology for educational institutions. SPS was sold nationwide through 2006
Additionally, Cimarron offers custom software development. Our software engineers and programmers can develop a product from inception, or build custom integration for existing software. Our Products team was appraised by an independent auditor at CMMI Level 3 in December of 2007 and then again in April 2010, using the SCAMPI appraisal method. Cimarron is currently scheduled to be reappraised at CMMI Level 3 in April 2013.
